"ABOUT THE GUILD"

The Guild meets on the first Thursday of each month at Mainway  Recreation Centre in Burlington, Ontario. The doors to our meeting room open at 7:00 p.m. There is one meeting a month from September to June.  The period of time from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. is set aside for several items of business and pleasure:  signing in at the membership table, signing up for workshops, borrowing books from the library, buying 50/50 tickets, handing in your Block of the Month, checking  brochures and information on up-coming events at the front table, getting a drink and snack, and just getting to know those who share your love of quilting. The Library closes for the evening at  7:30 p.m.

The meeting starts promptly at 7:30 with the President calling the meeting to order.   A short business section takes place - reports of committees, up-coming guild events and any business requiring membership approval or vote.   The 50/50 Draw and Block-of-the-Month draw take place during this portion of the meeting.  At this point the business portion is adjourned and we have our "Bring and Brag" and Outreach.  Our guest speaker or program element for the evening  .  Our for the evening starts at approximately 8:30 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. and we try to be finished by 10:00 p.m.
