CUDDLE QUILTS

These are lap/crib quilts that we make for charitable organizations. Kits are assembled by our Outreach Committee and contain fabric for a quilt top and the binding.  Members assemble these, provide batting and backing and then quilt these either by hand or machine. Quilt labels are also provided by the Guild.  We set aside one meeting per year, usually February, to have a Cuddle Quilt Marathon. This usually takes place all afternoon and evening of our regular guild-meeting day. Members are asked to come to one or both sessions and we work in teams to produce as many quilt tops as we can.  Members then take them home to complete. Throughout the year the Outreach Committee donates these to worthy organizations as they are needed.
